If you have created a Web of Science account you can request to be emailed when new documents are uploaded. There is no limit to the number of alerts that you can receive.
When you are logged in, you will be able to click on the image of the bell in the left hand column to access searches and alerts that you have saved.
You can save searches to be rerun at certain intervals. If any new results are found you will receive an email and a link to Web of Science to access all new results.
After completing a search you can click Create Alert at the top right of the results. You can then manage the alert to choose how frequently the search should be rerun.
You can be emailed when a new work cites a specified document. To do this click on the title of the document that you are interested in. This will bring up the full details about that article and you can then click Create Citation Alert in the right column.
When you create a citation alert, you receive an email whenever a new publication that work. You turn alerts off and on by toggling between Inactive and Active from the Citation Alerts page.
You can be emailed when an author is cited in Web of Science or they publish new work. Firstly, go to the author details page. You can get here either by clicking on the name of an author at the top of one of their papers or by searching for them on the homepage.
Click on Add Alert at the right of the page and choose either author publication alert or author citation alert from the pop up box.
