For staff: Log into Leganto
For students: Search Reading lists

Note: This tool utilizes LLMs to process your content and create a list of resources. Your input is not stored by the large language model or used for any other purpose than to build the list. Your data is not used to directly or indirectly train LLMs.
Note: Leganto may not be able to connect a reference to items in the Library's collection from the uploaded information. In this case Leganto will create a list item and Library staff will establish the collection link during the checking process. If the information is ambigious, Library staff will contact you.
Note: You must add reading level tags to your items. This can be done in bulk by using the Edit multiple items feature.

Information about creating favourites is available in the Using Favourites section.
Cite It! is a tool that pulls across core information about an item from a wide range of academic and popular websites (e.g. Amazon; PubMed; ScienceDirect). If Library Services does not have copies of the item you want, use Cite It! to add details to your list and prompt Library Services to obtain a copy.
Please note the amount of item information pulled into Leganto via Cite It! varies depending on the source used. Manual editing to improve the data may be required.
Where possible, Library Services will seek to provide electronic access to book chapters in a reading list where details of a book chapter or page range are added using the Book Chapter item type as described below.
To enter details of a book chapter to your list:
Alternatively contact your Subject Librarian with the list details and the chapter required.
Library Services may purchase an e-book if appropriate in order to provide electronic access. Alternatively, it will use the College’s CLA HE Licence to make digital chapters from books held in Imperial and the British Library.
You should be aware that not all readings can be supplied electronically because of licence restrictions and other factors.
Should there be a problem, you will be contacted by a member of library staff.
Items can be imported into a list from RIS and BibTeX files and PDFs. Please note that the citations in the PDF must be correctly formatted.
